More from JuJu Bee's Sept. 09 Kit

I love the September Kit from JuJu Bee's so much that I just can't stop using it! I have made 2 more LO's from it for a total of 5 now and I still have so much left over. All I can say is WOW! Julia has definatley packed her kits full of enough product to keep you busy for a long time.

For this LO I wanted to show that the kit CAN be used for boy pages too! So if you are ever looking at a kit thinking....This kit isn't for me, I have boys....It can work!!

If you haven't had a chance to check out the KIT club yet then it's definately one worth looking into! And you won't regret it....Octobers KIT will just blow your mind :-) I am still drooling over it!

Dotty Diva's - Advert Challenge #3 Reveal

Oh, it's that time again! Time for some Dotty Divas fun! This month's Advert is just delicious and made me thirsty. I have to say I honestly drank more Chai teas than normal this month, and I blame it on the "research" I needed to do for this LO! haha Have you checked out the Dotty Divas blog...it's pretty awesome! You have free range to do whatever YOU want with the Ad. Now that's a challenge!!

Here is The Dotty Divas Advert Challenge #3 - Pretty Cool right?!

And here is my take on the Ad. I had so much fun working on this LO. Like I said before...I did my research ;-) but besides that I also played in my paper shreader. Yeah, those things can be used for SO much more than shreading bills. Heck, I think I even have credit card pieces on this LO! Oh, and Mod Podge!!! It's my new love, I don't know how I ever lived without it! Starbucks Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte is my proof that true love can be bought!

This month we also have 2 awesome sponsors which means a super prize! The Challenge winner will recieve 10 packs of new Thickers from American Crafts and a 25 pack of Bazzill CS (your choice of colors) from Cardinal Colours. Now that's an awesome Prize!!!

52 Sketches...52 Weeks Sketch #38

Hello & Happy Monday! I hope you all have had a wonderful start to your week. Things around my household are finally getting back to normal and I am very grateful for that! The kids are settled into school and Bubbu is finally ..... OK with the fact that he no longer has his sisters full undivided attention 24/7. And me, well I have been very busy and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I have good news!!!
I just found out that I will be rejoining the amazing Design Team for my second term over at 52 Sketches...52 Weeks!! I just love Julie's sketches and am so very excited to be working with her and along side some awesome ladies again! Thank You Julie!

This weeks sketch is just fun! Simple and fun...and a great way to use multiple photos and get some playful journaling in there too!

And here is my take on Sketch #38. These pics were taken on Sept.11, 2009. We were outside playing when Koen picked up a branch that had fallen off the tree. He turned around and said exactly this, "Wook, it Baweees mom!" and he played with that branch for what seemed like hours (ok, only like 20 minutes). It just amazed me how he knew what they were! Koen is a smart little man....he gets that from his momma! ;-)

Oh, and don't forget the prize! Yes....there is always a prize too! This weeks sponsor is the Fabulous Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. They are donating a Kit to the lucky winner this week, so come on over and show us your wonderful creation based on this weeks sketch for your chance at picking up this amazingly awesome prize!!

Growth Chart - Sept. MOSD Project

Hello Beautiful People! It's MOSD time :-) I love this time of the month....when I get to share something that I just love!! I am so excited about this project as it was inspired by my son. I was just looking at him and reminiscing about the days when he truly was a little baby...and man, has he grown!!! So that made me want to create my little one his very own growth chart and MOSD has SO many fabulous products that made this project just come to life!

Photobucket

For this growth chart I used various wonderful MOSD products. For the base of the entire chart I used the Clearly Designed Flipped Out Acrylic Album, using only the inner pages and back cover. I trimmed down the back cover to be the same size as the inner pages so I would have 5 uniform acrylic panels.

I then started to decorate! I used Basic Grey ‘Lime Rickey’ collection because it blended so well with the fabulous MOSD 1-2-3 Intricacy that I used to back a few of my acrylic pages. To adhere the papers to the acrylic I simply used Mod Podge!

One of my favorite things that I used on this Growth chart was the MOSD Toddler Boy Edger. I cut it apart so I had multiple little vehicles to play around with and added details with a pen. Easy and fun and Oh so CUTE!!

Then there are the Oh SO fabulous MOSD Binding Rings that hold this bad boy together. I chose to use clear to keep in theme with the Acrylic! If you do not have any of these binding rings then they are definately a MUST have item! Simple and easy to use and just wonderful!!

As you can probably tell my DS loves cars or as he calls them 'carsh'. And I just love it when I get to combine a passion of someone I love with that of my own! As sad as I get that my little man is growing up I will always have little things like this to remember his 'younger' years! Which is, afterall, The main reason I scrapbook!

This was my first time working with Acrylic and I absolutely loved it!
I am now a believer :-)
I hope you all make your way over and check out all that Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs has to offer. It truly is an amazing company and I just love working with their product! Make sure to check back next month to see what I have in store...it's sure to be BOO-tiful!

A La Carte - Challenge #8 Sack Lunch

The new menu is up and it's sure to satisfy ones scrapbook cravings. What am I talking about you ask? A La Carte's new challenge of course! Challenge #8 Sack Lunch comes at the perfect time of the year.....time to send those kids back to school! I have had the wonderful opportunity to be A La Carte's Guest Designer for the month of September and I have had such a blast working on these challenges.

Who wouldn't have a blast when you are working with a menu like this:

1. Use a brown paper bag.
2. Use primary colors.
3. Use alphabet stickers as your background.
4. Use notebook paper.
5. Use something that measures.
6. Use the word first.

You simply choose a minimum of 3 items off the menu and cook up your LO!
The LO I created using this Menu is of my Daughter's teacher/student meet and greet the night before school started. They were so excited to be heading back to school and I was more than happy to get snap happy with my camera :-) They started Kindergarten and 4th grade this year. My house is very quiet now!!

Once again I would like to say Thank You to A La Carte for choosing me to be your Guest Designer this month! It's been an honor to work along side you ladies. And I would love to encourage everyone to head on over to this fabulous blog and get to cookin'.

Guest Gutter Girl for September!!

I have had the wonderful opportunity to play in the gutter this month right along with some very talented ladies aka the Gutter Girlz! Have you had a chance to check out their blog and play along? You should! The challenges are amazing and definately different. They make you go outside of your typical comfort zone and scrap things you typically wouldn't, using products you normally don't dream about using. That's what I LOVE about the Gutter Girlz!!

For example, this month's challege consists of:

THE PROMPT:I'm not ur bitch, BITCH
THE SONG:U and Ur HAND by Pink
PRODUCT/TECHNIQUE:Lipstick

You can choose to use what you want and take your LO as far into the Gutter as you desire :-) This month I opted to use a lyric from the song "I'm not here for your entertainment" as my overall feel for the LO, and used red lipstick. For the Lipstick I simply treated it as if it were paint and added a layer of Glossy Accents over it to seal it in. Simple and Easy!

Another Wonderful thing I LOVE about Gutter Girlz is the
End of the Month Mojo. On Aug.30th Lara posted a wonderful mojo moment using paint...and we all know how I LOVE me some paint! So I took inspiration from her in using paint on my LO, and also used this fabulous technique that Aphra brought to my attention!

I hope you all Stop on over at the Gutter Girlz blog and play along with the challenges and stretch your Scrapping Horizens! And Thank you SO much Gutter Girlz for letting me play in the gutter with you for the month of September! I had so much fun with you ladies!

A La Carte - September Guest Designer!!

I would like to give a huge thanks to A La Carte for choosing me as their Guest Designer for the month of September! If you haven't stopped by the A La Carte blog you definately should. It's ran by a few awesome ladies too: Aphra & Frances. These girls have some mad scrappin' skills!! The challenges are amazing and you will definately get hooked! What I love about their challenges is the fact that it works off of a menu and you get to choose what you would like to incorporate into your LO! So fun.

The first challenge for the month, which is posted on the 1st, is based off of this menu: (You choose 3 out of the 6)

1. Use an ampersand, dollar sign, or other symbol in your title. 2. Use three shades of green. 3. Use a silver, gold, or brass embellishment. 4. Use a tree. (Even though money doesn't grow on them!) 5. Use stamping as your background. 6. Use book print or an actual page from a book.

Here is my LO based off of the challenge:

I basically created this LO for me! It's to remind me to just take the time to love myself every once in awhile! With life being so hectic, I think we all forget to just stop and think about ourselves...and we need to!! The menu items that I chose to use were: 1. Ampersand 2. Three shades of green 3. Silver embellie 6. Page from book.

I had an absolute blast working with this menu and I am sure you will as well!! Make sure to keep an eye out for my second LO reveal on the 15th at A La Carte! And thank you again Aphra and Frances for the opportunity to be your Guest Designer this month!
