52 Sketches...52 weeks - Sketch #47 Reveal

It's Sunday and that can only mean one thing! Ok, it can mean a lot of things, but for me it means the reveal of Julie Bonner's fabulous sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks! I hope your as excited as I am. Julie creates some of the most amazing sketches and I am truly blessed to be a part of her DT.
I mean seriously...check out this sketch:

And here is my take on Sketch #47. I chose to base this LO around the song 'I Hope You Dance' by Lee Ann Womack because it holds such a special place in my heart. There is such a powerful meaning behind the words in this song and as soon as I saw these pictures of my daughters I just knew they were meant to be put together to create this LO. In life I hope for the best for my children, and I truly hope they choose to dance their way through it!

This week 52 Sketches...52 Weeks has an amazing prize up for grabs sponsored by Work in Progress Kits. All you have to do to be eligible for this prize is complete a LO based on Julie's sketch and upload it to the gallery by Midnight Nov 29th. Easy enough right?! I hope you join us over at 52 Sketches. I can't wait to see your take on this sketch!

Dotty Divas Blog Dive & DT Reveal!

Blog Dive is below :-)

This month's challenge at Dotty Divas has been a lot of fun for me. We had the privilege of having Magic Mesh sponsor the DT this month. Thank you Magic Mesh. I loved working with your product! And we had a very colorful Advert to work with. Have you had a chance to check out the Dotty Divas blog yet? You really should, we always have some of the most amazing Sponsors that want to give you prizes for your beautiful creations!

Check out the Ad for the month:
And here is my take on the Advert. I took inspiration from the colors mainly and the fabulous Magic mesh!! I wanted to use as much mesh as I could so I created this entire bg out of it, plus added it to my title, arrow, and put little accents of torn mesh here and there! I just love how this LO turned out! Of course how could I not....have you seen that little cutie in the picture?!

Guess what today is? Yep, it the beginning of the Dotty Divas Blog Dive! How exciting, huh?! I would first off like to say Welcome! If you haven't already you should go check out the Dotty Diva's blog and start there. That way you have more chances at winning some great prizes :-) And who doesn't love winning a prize every now and then!

All you have to do to be in my drawing for the prize below is answer this one question :-)

What makes you a diva?

I want to hear all about it so spill those beans!
Then head on over to my dear friend
Emma's blog for a chance to win yet another prize. She's waiting for you!

---------------------------------------------------------

Twilight - Vampires go chic

Happy Thursday beautiful people! Do you love the Twilight movies? I love them. I love Edward, that man makes being a vampire extreamly dreamy. Vampires are a family obsession around our house....to the extint that my oldest daughter, Kayla, chose to be one for Halloween this year. That is why I can honestly say that I am totally in love with this challenge presented by Candy Shoppe Designs. It's called Team Edward vs. Team Jacob. You had to choose a team to be on and complete a LO based on that teams critera. Well, as you can probably already tell, I chose Team Edward!

Here is my LO based on the challenge:

Thank you Candy Shoppe Designs for such a wonderful challenge!
And don't forget about the Blog Dive for Dotty Diva's starting tomorrow. I will be offering up an amazing prize, so make sure to come back and visit my blog for your chance to win. Hope to see you back here!!

MOSD - Nov project Reveal - Expression Word Book

Hello lovelies! I am here today to share with you my project for MOSD! This project means the world to me and I will tell you why. A few of the ladies on the MOSD DT have decided to focus on a '10 things' theme this month. I was trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with this theme and was talking it over with my husband on the phone one evening. We went over several ideas and in the end I was still undecided. The next morning I woke up to an email from the DH titled '10 things I love about Amy'.... I was so over the moon at his thoughtfulness and decided that his list would become the subject for this month's project!
So here it is, my album, 10 things he loves About Me:

The base of the album is an MOSD Expression Word Book with custom Stick Ons to go on the edges. I love how the stick Ons give the letters such beautiful definition.
12 years ago we found each other and have been going strong since! He too was my first love.

We compliment each other very well. He is strong in places where I am weak and vica-vera. It's rather corney to say but this man completes me and without him I would be lost!

Our children are our everything. He loves me because I 'gave' them to him, but babe it was a combined effort. So thank you for 'giving' me our 3 beautiful children as well!

He thinks it's cheesy scrapbook things, but totally supports my hobby. We believe that hobbies are extreamly important in life. They allow us to have an outlet, which everyone needs.

Yes, I complain!! That is a downfall that I have and I am working on it. But it makes me feel better that he loves that about me!

My husband is terrible about remembering special dates. I am constantly reminding him of his own families birthdays and whatnots. He blames it on old age, I blame it on the fact that he works so hard and has to remember so many important things for his job that sometimes the little things get put into the back of his mind. And I don't mind reminding him!

It's true, sometimes he thinks it's silly that I love the little things in life. But to me all those little things add up into bigger things and that's what makes life so special. Like him taking the time to write me this list, to him it was a little thing to do, but to me this little thing means the world!

Kids are the sweetest when they sleep, that's why I love to watch them. No matter how rotten they are during the day when you watch a child sleep they are all little angels. What my DH doesn't know is that I love to watch him sleep as well. It's a peaceful time for me and it reminds me of the love I have for these special people in my life.
Boy does my husband have some hobbies!! He loves to build things, tinker with the cars (even though they don't need tinkering). His recent project was building a Harley from scratch. He did such an amazing job. What he doesn't realize is that I adore his hobbies, it's a bonding time for us. My scrap room is the room that leads into the garage where he works. So we prop open the door and chat while we are both creating.

I feel the same way about him. But I suppose WE make our family complete together. I added the little Maya Road envelope to this page to hold a copy of his email. Thank you Travis for writing this for me and giving me he inspiration for this Album. I love you babe!

52 Sketches...52 Weeks - sketch #46 Reveal

It's Sunday! One of my favorite days ever. Why you ask? Because I get to reveal Julie Bonner's of 52 Sketches...52 Weeks new fabulous sketch of the week and my take on it! I always love working with Julie's sketches, they are fun and extreamly versatile, just ready for your interpretation!

Check out Sketch #46:

This week I chose to scrap this picture of my son, Koen. It's a random candid snapshot, but it captures pure happiness. It embodies exactly what I see when I look at my son. I actually ran out of the kraft paper I wanted to use when I was working on this LO, so I was trying to find a way to get that look without using what I usually fall back on which is cardboard. Then I saw this puzzle that I had recieved in the mail. It was an ugly puzzle but the back was beautiful :-) I drew my inspiration from the beautiful and colorful piece of Basic Grey paper from the Offbeat line and embellished with randomness using mostly Sassafrass Lass and a little Cosmo Cricket.

Which brings me to this weeks amazing prize sponsored by
Work In Progress Kits! Which features a yummy eclectic collection all wrapped up into one amazing little kit...and it's calling your name! All you have to do for a chance to win this kit is complete Julie's sketch below and upload it to the 52 Sketches...52 Weeks gallery before Midnight Nov. 22!

Here is what I have created so far using the Nov Kit from JuJu Bee's:

'Think Pink' This LO I created in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Many of you may already know, but for those of you who don't, JuJu Bee's is a very STRONG supporter of this cause and so am I.

'Simply You' is all about my DD Kayla. She is simply wonderful in every aspect!

'Baby Bump' pretty self explanatory, eh? This is my little sister Carlie and her DH Jason. They are pregnant with their first child and will soon be giving me a beautiful niece named Allison!

'Fall Style' This LO is about my DD Kyrsten and her obsession with this hat. She refused to take it off last fall/winter, and I believe she even slept in it a few times!

This is the recipe box and snack book that I created using the Nov kit. This is also the prize for JuJu Bee's November giveaway. If you purchase a new kit subscription this month you will be entered to win this recipe box and snack book! I will ship it to you no matter where you live! Here at JuJu Bee's we love our international Scrappers too :-)

This is a little view inside the snack book. I used the BoBunny Recipe cards. They are all blank and ready for you to fill out!

Here is a preview of the inside of the box complete with recipe dividers! There are also a ton of extra blank recipe cards in there just waiting on you to fill up with all your favorite yummys!

So what are you waiting for? This kit is calling your name and I would LOVE to see what you create with it too!

It's ok! A LO inspired by the Gutter Girlz!

Today I have a LO inspired by prompt #30 at Gutter Girlz! This prompt was on the softer side and I truly enjoyed it. I created a LO to remind me that it is ok, I am only human, and mistakes happen. I think that being a mother I try to do everything just so, follow a certain set of rules that somehow along the way, I created for myself. I always want perfection and sometimes that just doesn't happen. Especially with 3 kids, 2 dogs, and a husband who loves to be unpredictable!! Life happens mistakes and all and I just try to live each day for what it is - a blessing!

This LO is based on a sketch by the beautiful Trisha. Isn't it wonderful?!

And here is my LO:

Thanks for stopping by and taking a gander at what I have been up to! I hope you all have a wonderful week, and hopefully you aren't getting rained in like we are here in WA!
