Celebrating 2 & 2000

Happy Wednesday! I hope this morning has found you all in good spirits! I was up late last night working on a LO inspired by a sweet poem I found online. As soon as I saw it I just knew exactly what picture I wanted to use it for. Don't you just love when a LO just plans it's self? That's exactly what this one seemed to do for me. It may not look like it but there was a lot of spray paint involved in this LO :-) That's my new favorite item! I ran out of black lace....so I just painted myself some more. I spray painted my letter 2. I spray painted my flower yellow! My husband's garage is coming in handy! Since he is leaving tomorrow he said I could have full control of it...now that's kind of exciting. You know how many cool things I could find in there to play with?!

This LO is all about celebrating the fact that my DS is now 2 years old! He's growing fast.

Don't you just LOVE those Dream Girls? I have been following their challenges for a while now and I just absolutely love them. There is always a twist, a turn, a loopy loop! The LO I did for their current challenge is a lot different than my typical LO's,but I like it. You were challenged to use an older photo (at least 5 years) and in b&w or sepia. I opted to use a pic of our family back in 2000 when we were just getting started out. It took me hours of digging through boxes of pictures to find these but it was time well spent and many memories relived.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week!
I don't know about you but I can't wait for the weekend to get here.

Good Afternoon beautiful people! It's a wonderful Sunday afternoon, and you know what that means!

Yep, 52 Sketches...52 Weeks has a new sketch up, and it's a great one too! Lot's of layering possibilities to play around with! :-) I hope you all have as much fun with this sketch as I did!

As always there is a wonderful prize up for grabs just for completing this sketch! This weeks sponsor is Scrapbook Deals 4u and check out this amazing kit you could win:

I just loved this sketch so much and even though this isn't the best picture of my husband and I; I love it as well! We rarely get pics together :-) And we had such an amazing time on this day! Thanks Julie for yet another FABULOUS sketch!!!

Here is my Design Team Reveal for 52 Sketches...52 Weeks!

Forever Owl Love You

And a LO for a la Carte using a sketch by the fabulous Trisha aka: TX paper Doll! I completely fell in love with this chicas sketches! This is Koen, my rotten little DS. He is infatuated with my lamp shade and swears it's a hat. After what seems like an endless battle of trying to convince this little man that it is NOT a hat I gave up. Some things are just better left alone, plus it's just too cute!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone had a safe and happy fourth!

A LO, A New Camera, And a place for your Kid to Scrap!

Hello Beautiful People! I hope you are all having a wonderful week thus far! It's Thursday, you know what that means.....the weekend is SO close! My daughter has been out of school now for almost 2 weeks, 2 very long weeks and she is going stir crazy so what's a mother to do? I found her a scrapbook challenge blog for kids is what I did :-) Yep, that's right!! I came across an amazing challenge blog just for children called Kids can Scrap. It is ran by a mother/daughter duo and they post one challenge a month to get your childs creative little mind a'thinking! So if you have children that share your passion for creating then you should check out Kids can Scrap!

Kids Can Scrap

Last night I recieved a belated birthday present. My Husband is amazing! I guess he actually WAS listening to me all those times when I mentioned wanting this:

A Nikon Coolpix P80 a huge upgrade from what I have now! I can not wait to start taking pics with this baby! I am uber excited :-)

He also brought me this:

An Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte - My all time favorite (obsession) drink and an easy way into my heart.

My newest LO is the outcome of a challenge over at the Gutter Girlz blog. They recently posted Prompt # 26 It's all about me. The song: Carly Simon "You're so Vain" and the product is foil. Carly Simon just rocks! Who hasn't rocked out to "You're so Vain" at some point in their life? I have that song permanently engraved in my ipod :-) Now the foil was fun. I actually took out my cricut for this LO! I have only used that thing maybe 5 times ever, but I used it to cut my aluminum foil to create my flower! And those poor prima vines....I ripped off the flowers and spray painted them silver....but they were asking for it ;-)

Thanks everyone for stopping by. I am getting back to my more cheery scrapping today :-) I was just working on my About me book and my styles are completely different when it comes to myself and my children! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Oh, and keep a watch out....it's geting closer to the time when I can share my great news :-) Yay!!

PeaceOut - ScrapOn - LoveAlways
