Hello all my beautiful friends out there in Blogger Land. Guess what?! It's my Bloggiversary this month, that's right, I have officially been blogging for one year. I think I can now call myself a dedicated blogger. When I first started blogging I really didn't know if it was something I would enjoy, but I have, immensely. I have met some of the most amazing people through the world of Scrapbooking and blogging that sometimes I get overwhelmed with love for you ladies. I truly do appreciate you all. And since I can't have you all over to my house (I would if it were remotely feasible) then we will just have to celebrate right here....in Blog Land. What better way to celebrate a Bloggiversary than to have little custom Candy brought to you by Lynnette of Candy Shoppe Designs. CSD is one of my all time favorite places in the bloggasphere, so I wanted to share something I love with you!
This kit, titled 'The Sweet Emporium' was made special for my little party by the wonderful and talented Lynnette Davis. It just exudes all things sweet, don't cha think?! Do you want it? Heck, I want it!! Just leave a comment here on this post about your favorite party memory. It can be a birthday, an I'm just awesome party, an anniversary, a wild night on the town, or a party for your gnomes....I just want to hear all about the fun you have had celebrating something special in your life!
I will be drawing a winner on 1 May, so you have until midnight 30 April to leave your winning comment! All I ask is that if you are wanting to be in the drawing for the kit, then please be a follower. I want to give away this kit to one of my fabulous bloggy friends!!
Good luck ladies and THANK YOU for being so awesome!

ReplyDeleteAmy, congratulations! Happy Anniversary! I love your blog and I'm so glad I found you. :)
ReplyDeleteOne of the coolest part memories I have is when we threw a surprise party for my mom's birthday last year...it's the first birthday party my mom has ever had in my lifetime (aside from dinner with just us - but she'd never had a real party). It was awesome. :)
Thanks so much for the chance to win! That kit looks awesome!!
First, happy 1st blogversary!!! there are lots of birthday celebrations I love but I guess the best one was when I celebrated my 18th birthday. don't ask me how long ago that was it. It was a great coming out party!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogversary! I love your work! I have had many surprise birthday parties in my life, for some odd reason. But the funniest situation, to me, was in college, when my friends tried to make me a surprise party since I was going abroad for the second semester. The friend in charge told me we were having a birthday party for a new roommate. She picked a time around finals which was a bit difficult for me. I kept hemming and hawing about the party, and nearly did not show up. When I finally consented to go, boy did I feel stupid as I walked into my suite, only to see all of my friends there wishing me well.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BLOG-IVERSARY!!!!! :):):):):):) Loveeeeeeeeeeeeee the kit created by Lynette!!! WOW!!! And let's see ... I have a funny (well at least to me!! LOL!!!) party story...my ex-husband decided to throw me a surprise birthday .... (ugh...sooooooo not me to celebrate my birthday...lol!) and I walk in....everyone yells surprise...I look around at all the faces of the peeps I know...then I come back to a red head lady that was just standing there...and I say..."who the *bleep* are U???" lol lol lol....out of all the friends of mine were there...I decide to pick on this poor girl!! LOL!! Come to find out she was a new girlfriend of a friend of mine! LOL! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteyay! happy year of blogging!! :)
ReplyDeletemy favorite party memory was my last birthday. all my firneds threw a surprise party for me when i was backhome visiting my parents. it was neat because i had friends there from high school, college and my job - and i went to hs in nc, college in la and my job is in ca...it was a truly great experience. :)
Happy Blog-a-versary!
ReplyDeleteIt was my 5th birthday and juuuust before the cake was served one of the boys invited ran a toy dumptruck through the icing on top, very decorative... all around the Happy Birthday. I thought it was a hoot (truck had icing in the wheels for years afterwards) my Mum flipped!
Congrats on your one year of blogging Amy!! I agree that blogging is so much fun and we get to meet such a warm group of ladies. I think my favourite birthday memory was when I was turning 30. My husband took my girls, who were 5 and 7, to buy me an ice cream cake from the DQ. It had an old lady on it in a rocking chair and it read, "Over the Hill". When they came home they told me right away that they had been out shopping for a gift for me and then my eldest said, "Yeah, and we hid the cake at Ina's house!" Ina was our neighbour. They were so excited to be such a part of this celebration of their old mother. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh Amy its been a while since I visited your fabulous blog

ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary!!! Did I spell that right?? Guess it doesn't matter since it's just a made up word anyway right? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say my favorite party memories was when I was in my early 20's. The clubbing scene was my thing back then and I had SO much fun dancing and going crazy with my friends. Miss those days!
BTW, that's a purrrty looking kit you got there....the person who put it together must be SO RAD! LOL
I have been following you for a while now, love your blog, and Congratulations on your milestone! This is great blog candy, looks so yummy! Thanks for the chance to win, and if you pick me, I'll be on a cruise till the 10, I won't be able to respond until then, but I love your blog and thank you for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteToday is actually my birthday and I am hoping that the celebrations this evening will be epic and include Coach bags and tacos...cause that is how I roll!

ReplyDeleteThe best celebration in all my memories is always New Years Eve. My family always gets together and we have some amazing food, many laughs, pose for millions of pictures, and of course countdown to the next year officially begins. New Years Eve is my favorite holiday! :)
Happy Blogiversary!!!!!!!! Lynette did a FABULOUS job putting that kit together!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHmm...my favorite party memories are the ones I can't remember...lol...
In college, my birthday always fell on our "Spring Weekend" celebration, so there always were live bands and of course, a few parties!
I had a surprise for my 30th...a dinner with lots of friends and family. It was so nice. This is funny b/c today happens to be my bday! No parties or anything planned...just lots of ice cream after dinner!
Thanks for the chance to win this kit!
happy blogoversary - i love your blog :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Blog. I celebrated my 30th in true style, I had a beautiful ballgown / Tuxedos and Mask party, it was my one birthday that I will never ever forgot. Everybody looked so beautiful...

Happy blogaversary! I just signed up to be a follower! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite party memory is a fun night of 80's dancing with a new best friend (we had just meet but it felt like we had known each other forever)!
Congrats on the one year milestone.
ReplyDeleteI remember my 5th birthday party. My parents gave me a watch ~ a cheap plastic party favour thing that didn't actually work. My Dad said I could keep it or I could trade it in for a real watch when the next boat came in. We were living on this little island in the Pacific (Niue) and the 'boat' only came in once a month so I would have had to wait for my watch. I think Dad was trying to teach me something but at 5 years old I was more interested in what I had in my hand right then and not what I might have in a few weeks time.
Lesson lost.
I kept the crappy plastic toy which was probably put aside or lost by the time the boat came in. I think I was a teen before I got a real watch. LOL
Happy blogiversary... if that is how you spell it :) I too was unsure how I would like blogging and love it now of course I have only been doing it for 6 months.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite party memory was my going away party last year. I showed up totally surprised (which really never happens for me.... I always know something is up) and everyone was wearing a shirt with my face on it. You know the Jesus is my homeboy shirt well it was a cartoon image of me and it said Faye is my homegirl... I loved it. There was cake and other stuff but that fact that they surprised me and made shirts made it unforgettable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
happy happy bloggiversary! how exciting! i just found your blog via lynnette's page. cute blog!
ReplyDeletemy fav party memory...i loved my parties as a child. my parents would always make games like wheel of fortune...they were simple games, but the simple life was great.
have a wonderful day!
*hugs*
steph :)
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY! I also just found you but been poking around your tutorials!!! Yay, congrats! I would have to say my greatest party memory was actually my Baby Shower for my oldest. I was super down, it was end of October and no one had thrown me a shower, I was due first of December. I refused to go to the family Halloween party so my mom desperate to get me to go said she would dress up, if you knew my mom...she IS SO NOT the dressing up type! I was SO MOODY I didn't want to go so knowing my mom I said if you dress up as my baby I will go. My mother knowing it was REALLY my baby shower took herself to walmart and the party store, bought adult diapers, a bonnet and huge binky!!! So now my pregnancy emotions were in overdrive because my mother was willing to do this just to make me happy so I went as a pregnant fairy and she went as my baby! I was so shocked when I walked in I just nearly ploped my baby out right there!! It was so much fun! We had in attendance, clowns, hillbilly's, Jason, the devil, the angel, hunters, dead Auburn fan(ROLL TIDE), doctors, and a few princesses too! It was the most fun I have ever had at a party in my life! Just so you can see it, here is the layout that I did for it, it was like the 3rd one I ever did so it is pretty simple but you can see my mom in the background as my baby!!!

ReplyDeleteBest party ever was last year....my Husband and Daughter threw me a Surprise 50th Birthday at The Melting Pot...I had never had a Birthday Party...so they thought this would be a wonderful gift to me...and it was!!!! I was surrounded by my dearest friends and we feasted on FONDUE!!! How much better can it get!!!
Happy blog bday!!! I haven't had a party since i was a kid....sad huh :(
ReplyDeleteBut my best bday memory.....My bday and valentines day are just a day apart. My significant other surprised me with flowers on BOTH days because I had complained that I had never had anyone get me something on both days....I always got kinda left out and got the one dual purpose present......here Tina....here is your bday/ valentins present....blah! lol. But he does this every year now and I love him for it :)
Happy Blogiversary!! It so fun to read other people's blogs...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was actually this year (just a few weeks ago)...Friday we had dinner at a little Italian restaurant we love with family and friends. On Saturday we went to the big Art Festival that happens every year and we stayed downtown and ate at Simply Fondue (yummy). And on Sunday, my husband took me to the Bon Jovi concert with some friends. It was a perfect weekend!!
Congrats on your Blogger-Birthday!!! And the kit is fabulous- how generous!!
ReplyDeleteMy FAVE party memory is the Murder Mystery Bday Bash my sister threw for me on my 29th Birthday! We all dressed up as "CLUE" type characters and had the best time ever following the clues to solve the murder. The whole house was decorated like a spooky mansion, complete with bloody punch, a french maid & a butler! It was definitely the most memorable and fun party I have ever been to!
happy Blog-a-versary!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite party was my daughter's pink poodle party when she turned 9. I took her and some friends to the hotel and they swam, had a ton of junk, made pink poodle bags, had little pink poodles in their gift bags and my daughter had pink cowboy boots with a pink coat, and to top it off after clicking the shutter a thousand times I realized at the end my camera was broken, bummer!!!!! All i have from that day is a happy child and the memory :)
I'm now a follower and LOVE your blog!
ReplyDeleteMy best party memorie was actually last year we have just moved to a new town and my DH decided to have a little surprise for me and I didn't even have a clue which is next to impossible! He baked a cake and made dinner had everything ready at my new dear neighbors house and it was the best. She said she didn't even have to help him do anything. LOL

ReplyDeleteMy fondest party memory was my daughter's 10th birthday bash!! We went all out...she wanted a bunny theme, we made carrot name tags, had a mystery egg hunt, gave out jelly beans, played in the pool. I even made her a rabbit shape ice cream cookie cake!!! She loved every minute of it!!!
Happy Blogiversary!! Lynnnette has put together a truly fabulous kit for you to share!!
ReplyDeleteWe just celebrated my nephews first birthday two weeks ago, and I got to watch him smash cake into his little face...prolly my favorite party to date :))
Happy 1st Blogversary!!!
ReplyDeleteMy birhtday is in May. I'm actually in the middle of planning my 3rd Annual Birthday Tea Party. The past two years have been so much fun. I have never been much of a birthday person but now every year I look forward to getting all the ladies together.
Happy 1st Blogiversary.
ReplyDeleteI'm now a follower!
My favorite party memory is a tea party with my favorite (and only) granddaughter. We made place cards and invitations, served water, M&M's and cookies. Those are the best memories.
My favorite party memory was of my son's first birthday this past December. We were on a much needed vacation in Colorado visiting family and he was covered in cake and icing. Wow what a beautiful mess he was. It was an incredibly sweet moment, that I have already scrapped of course.
ReplyDeleteI miss my kids being little, 'cause I was "that" mom at birthday parties. We've had disney princesses - with the princess - a combo with my two youngest princess/knight party with a knight. We had a pirate party with a cool pirate that brought a parrot that he did tricks with. We had one with a bubble lady (all kinds of bubble tricks including a big bubble around each kid). A magician. Oh, and I would theme everything out, and use Birthday Express for awesome goody boxes, I had an awesome treasure chest cake for the pirate party. I think my fav one though was when we had Prehistoric Pets come....lizards, spiders (yuck) and other gross stuff...with the closer being a huge, Albino boa consticter (wow, how many things did I spell wrong?).
ReplyDeleteWith my kids turning 14, 17, and 25 this year I really miss those parties!!!!!
Happy blogiversary Amy and pleez pleez keep it up. I sure enjoy reading your posts and of course your awesome tutorials. I have learned sooo much from you!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary - what a beautiful blog you have! One of my favourite parties was actually my wedding - we had and outdoor wedding and after the ceremony and the meal, we played baseball - yes, I was running the bases in my wedding dress. It was fun and unforgettable!

ooooh, Amy! happy blogaversary to YOOOUUUU! i'm coming up on a year as well, so i'll be looking for ways to celebrate!
ReplyDeletehmm, so a fave party memory, you ask? probably the year i turned 14 (oh, i was such a big geek) - i'd been riding banana seat bikes and i was DYING for a ten-speed, but my party came and went, the food was consumed, the guests went home, and i went up to my room to pout and mope and just be a melancholy teen. then my Dad called me downstairs and said someone was at the door for me, and this shiny, fabulous, royal blue TEN-SPEED greeted me in the dining room. i'm surprised glass didn't shatter - i screamed so loud!
Dad seemed to always have the knack for surprising me like this. the same thing happened at Christmas a year or two earlier, when i reallyreallyreallyreally wanted a bunny. apparently the little critter had been living in our basement for three weeks and Dad kept it a secret all that time! :)
so, wow. i babble! (sorry about that, but thanks for coaxing those memories out of my full noggin!)
xo
happy 1 year blogiversary !!! love all your stuff!!
ReplyDeletemy favorite party memory was when i got married because it was a perfect fairy tale reception with a white horse drawn carriage and swans and a heart shaped lake...and the reception was total hip hop and we wore white sweat suits and did the soljer boi hip hop dance haha and i married my prince charming of course!!
